Music has been a part of Mike Graci’s life for as long as he can remember. As a kid, he could spend hours in his room listening to records and absorbing everything he heard. At age 12, he got his first close look at a drum set when an older brother of one of his friends had one. That was all it took. Mike began taking drum lessons and continued studying the instrument for more than a decade.

By 16, he was already performing with bands, and at 19 he began teaching drums himself. While attending Long Island University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, Mike balanced college with performing and teaching at places including Long Island Drum Center and Farmingdale Music Center.

Playing live never slowed down. Throughout his adult life, Mike has regularly performed more than 100 shows a year. After relocating to Charlotte, North Carolina with his wife and two daughters at age 40, he spent five years performing percussion for the NBA’s Charlotte Bobcats.

That experience eventually led Mike into the tribute-band world. After building successful acts including Chicago Rewired and Kids in America, he helped expand the concept into additional decade-focused shows. With 70s Kids, Mike gets to revisit the music that helped shape his earliest love of rock, bringing the songs, energy and musicianship of the 1970s back to the stage.
