Strung Out

Strung Out is Chicago’s ultimate 70’s musical experience, bringing to life the rock, soul, funk, and one-hit wonders that defined the decade. Since 2012, the band has captivated audiences at clubs, festivals, and corporate events with a vibrant, interactive show packed with “Wow, I remember that one!” moments. Their signature twist comes from Tom Culver’s electric cello, which adds a fresh dimension to timeless classics. Culver (cello, violin, vocals) blends his classical training with decades as one of Chicago’s top bassists, while Ted Spaniak (guitar, keyboards, vocals) brings a career of studio soundtrack work and club performances across North America. On drums, Jeff James (percussion, vocals) lays down the groove he’s shared with legends like The Platters and The Drifters, and bassist John Chisari (bass, vocals) anchors the sound with melodic lines shaped by a lifetime on the Chicago scene. Rounding out the lineup, Jeff Sismelich (vocals, guitar, keys) delivers powerhouse lead vocals honed on stages from the House of Blues to the Chicago Theatre. Together, Strung Out doesn’t just play the music of the 70’s—they recreate the energy, style, and joy of an era. Get more information at https://www.strungoutband.com/
